3. Submit residency application

The Spanish government's Ministry of Economy will receive your complete application for a residency permit, as well as all supporting documentation confirming your investments.

4. Processing of Application

The government conducts a full due diligence review on each application, during which time supplied information is scrutinized and validated.

5. Receive Residency Approval

You will be issued a residence permit once your application has been evaluated and approved. The government will send you a letter informing you of their decision.

6. Receive Spanish Residency Card

After submitting your biometrics to one of Spain's police stations, you will receive your residence card, which is valid for two years and can be renewed every five years. Investors can obtain permanent residency in Spain in 5 years if they have lived in the country for more than 4 years and 2 months during that time. If necessary, citizenship can be obtained after ten years. Because a fingerprint check is performed at the collection, the residency card must be collected personally.
