Terms and Conditions

This policy document shall serve as agreement between Birdview Travels and Tours Limited with head office at 14, Afolabi Aina Street, off Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos State (hereinafter referred to as “the Company” which expression shall, where the context so admits, include its legal representatives, successors in title and assigns]”) of the one part,

And

All participants of the 30 Under 30 Advantage programme (hereinafter referred to as “the Participant” which expression shall, where the context so admits, include its legal representatives, successors in title and assigns) of the other part.

Birdview Travels and Tours is the facilitator and organizer of the 30under30 Advantage 2021 and it is for prospective participant that are 30 years old or below with an MSc or a Graduate Diploma. To participate, please see terms and conditions below.

1. Expression of Interest

1a. Every prospective participant shall register on www.birdviewtravels.com to share his/her immigration pitch and follow Birdview Travels’ (BVT) social media handles on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. 1b. Every prospective participant shall record a 1min video, telling the reason to be selected for the progamme and collage with the confirmation badge issued after completing Expression of Interest on the website. 1c. Every prospective participant shall at all times tag BVT @birdviewtravels in any post about the programme with hashtag #30under30Advantage. 1d. Every prospective participant shall communicate in English language in any discussion or post that concerns the programme.

2. Selection of 30 Eligible Participants

2a. Every prospective participant shall make a 1min video pitch on his/her Instagram video, telling the reasons to be the ideal participant for the programme. 2b. Every prospective participant shall tag @birdviewtravels in the video (entry) with the hashtag #30under30Advantage – entry closes 7:30pm daily. 2c. Every prospective participant’s entry will be reviewed for daily selection. The selection shall be based on the quality, ingenuity and conviction of every participant’s entry. 2d. Daily selected participants from the pool of submitted entries shall be announced on our Instagram page by 9:00pm for the 30 days of selection phase.

3. IELTS and IELTS classes

3a. Selected participants of the 30under30 Advantage shall be added to an organized FREE IELTS class instituted by BVT. IELTS tutors will be two of the best IELTS tutors in Lagos and classes shall be 100% remote. 3b. Selected participants of the 30under30 Advantage shall be tutored for the duration of one month before undertaking the IELTS examination.

4. Final Selection

4a. Selected participants of the 30under30 Advantage shall register and pay for the IELTS exams. Participants with at least a CLB 9 in their results shall be shortlisted for final selection 4b. Participants with CLB 9 shall do another 1min video pitch that will be posted on the BVT page for a 72-hour voting round. 4c. Participant with the highest votes shall be selected as the lucky under 30 face of BVT 30under30 Advantage 2021. 4d. The selected ideal participant shall provide two guarantors who will undertake to refund the company if he/she chooses to pull out of the process halfway.

5.The BVT Support

5a. BVT will pay for the participant’s IELTS for about #50,000 5b. BVT will pay for the participant’s IELTS fee about #83,500 5c. BVT will pay for the participant’s WES fee about #100,000 5d. BVT will pay for the participant’s medical test fee about #50,000 5e. BVT will pay for the participant’s police certificate about #10,000 5f. BVT will offer proof of fund support for about #200,000 5g. BVT will pay for the participant’s OINP nomination fee (if applicable) about #600,000 5h. BVT will pay for participant’s visa fees for about #580,000 5i. BVT will pay for participant’s flight fee for about #500,000 5j. BVT will pay for the accommodation rent for the first two months rent for about #1,200,000 5k. BVT will cover free coaching on career switch for about #500,000 5l. BVT will cover the participant’s agency fee for about #387,500 5m. BVT will cover all support necessary for a successful transitioning of the participant.

6. BVT’s Participation and Commitment

6a. BVT will act as a responsible corporate citizen by fulfilling all its commitments without prejudice in the review of entries and selection of participants for the program. 6b. BVT shall absolutely protect the privacy of every participant by ensuring the confidentiality of their names during the publishing of the event to the media. 6c. BVT shall make a video release of the selected participants for publishing in the media for the sake of transparency, and shall also keep the public of the progress of the ideal participant without revealing the participant’s name. 6d. BVT shall resort to a pseudo name, for either any of selected participants or the ideal participant for every time it might want to refer to him/her in the media.

7. FORCE MAJEURE

Neither party will be liable for its failure to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement due to a cause beyond its control including acts of God, war, fire, flood, earthquakes, explosions, strikes, lockouts or other industrial disturbances, laws, rules and regulations or orders of any duly constituted government (“Force Majeure”); provided, however, that such party could not have reasonably foreseen the specific reason or circumstance which caused the delay or failure at the time of the signing of this Agreement or could not reasonably have been expected to have avoided or overcome it or its consequences.

8. Participant’s Declaration

8a. Participant of the 30 under 30 Advantage programme commits to maintain confidentiality of all information and materials received before, during and after the programme. 8b. Participant shall not disclose any information about the process, the people involved, services, or Birdview Travels and Tours Limited as a company to anyone or entity without express written permission signed by the Group President of Birdview Travels and Tours Limited. 8c. Participant commits to abide by the product/service policies in the product document received at the beginning of the selection process. 8d. Participant agrees to provide two guarantors who will guarantee the company of making full refunds in any case where the participant chooses to willingly withdraw for any personal reason at all except for reasons of acts of God as mentioned in article 7. 8e. Participant agrees to be responsible for all personal logistics, cost of local transportation within Nigeria or within Canada, or cost of any logistics required for the process. 8f. The participant agrees that the company will only not pay for AirBnB arrangements in Canada. The company will only pay two months rent out of a long rental contract with a landlord in Canada. The long rental contract can only be for 6 months or 12 months. This means that in any case where the participant has to make arrangements for Airbnb services for the first few days/weeks in Canada, the company will not pay for such arrangements.
8g. Participant agrees that Birdview Travels and Tours reserves the right to cancel the programme and stop the process if the company believes that the participant breached agreement or violates agreed policies at any time. 8h. By going ahead with this programme, participant agrees that this policy document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior understanding or representation of any kind preceding the date of receiving this document. There are no other promises, conditions, understandings or other agreements, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter of this policy document.
